Course Overview

Stop Guessing Why A Claim Sits Under Process

This course takes you through the EPFO Unified Portal exactly as it works in 2025 and 2026, covering both the member e-Sewa side and the employer side. You file real online claims (Form 19, 10C, 31), raise PF transfers with the revised Form 13, complete e-nomination, correct member details through the online Joint Declaration, and handle EDLI and EPS pension cases. Every workflow is shown on the live screens, with the exact field that trips people up and the remark that shows up when a claim is rejected.

It is built for payroll and HR staff, accountants, PF consultants, and members who want to sort out their own accounts without paying an agent. By the end you pass an ECR return without an error file, pay the challan before the 15th so you never attract 7Q interest or 14B damages, fix a name or date of birth mismatch that keeps blocking withdrawals, and read a rejection remark well enough to reapply correctly the first time.

  • Both member e-Sewa and employer side
  • Live claim, transfer and e-nomination walkthroughs
  • Mismatch fix checklist and rejection remark reference
  • 7Q and 14B penalty avoidance checklists

Curriculum

Three Levels, Built To Stack

Start where you are. Each level assumes the one before it, so your skills compound instead of repeat.

Level 1 · Member

Member Basics

For employees and first time users handling their own PF account. Covers UAN activation, KYC seeding, passbook, e-nomination and a clean online claim. You learn to fix the mismatches that cause auto rejection before you ever hit submit.

Level 2 · Employer

Payroll and Employer Compliance

For HR, payroll and accounts staff who file for an establishment. Covers ECR preparation, challan and TRRN, due dates, employer approval of transfers and Joint Declarations, and EDLI. You learn to close a monthly PF cycle without an error file and without penalty interest.

Level 3 · Advanced

Advanced Cases and Escalation

For consultants and senior payroll professionals handling disputes and pension. Covers Form 13 transfer failures, higher pension option processing, death and EDLI claims, and grievance escalation through EPFiGMS. You learn to diagnose a rejection remark and drive a stuck case to settlement.

Module 1: UAN Activation and KYC Seeding
Activate the UAN, link Aadhaar, PAN and bank details, and get KYC verified by the employer, because an unverified or partial KYC is the single most common auto rejection trigger. A name, date of birth or gender mismatch between Aadhaar and the EPF record, and an inactive or wrongly typed bank account or IFSC, are what cost weeks at the payment stage.
Module 2: Passbook, Balance and Reading Your Account
Access the passbook on the member portal and app, read employee, employer and pension shares separately, and spot when a month's contribution is missing or shows a wrong wage. The trap is assuming a missing month is EPFO's error when the employer simply never filed that ECR, which you must catch before it hurts a pension or transfer.
Module 3: Online Claims (Form 19, 10C, 31)
File final settlement (Form 19), pension withdrawal (Form 10C) and advances (Form 31) online, and understand the auto settlement route for eligible claims with full KYC. Claims get rejected for wrong claim type, less than six months service claimed as full settlement, signature or name mismatch, and bank KYC not verified.
Module 4: Advances and Withdrawals by Purpose
Raise Form 31 advances for illness, housing, marriage and education, and match each purpose to its service condition. People lose time by claiming before the required service period, by picking the wrong purpose in the dropdown, and by requesting more than the eligible amount for that purpose, all of which come back as a rejection.
Module 5: PF Transfer on Job Change (Form 13)
Use the revised Aadhaar e-verified Form 13 so that after the 2025 change most transfers need only the previous employer's approval when name, date of birth and gender match across accounts. Transfers stall on KYC mismatch, Aadhaar not linked to the old UAN, and a previous employer who does not act, so you learn when to escalate.
Module 6: e-Nomination and Joint Declaration Corrections
Complete e-nomination online, now required to see the passbook and to make death claims clean for the nominee, and raise a Joint Declaration to correct name, date of birth and similar fields. Corrections fail when the required documents are short or when a member tries to correct a field for a previous establishment the current employer cannot touch.
Module 7: Employer ECR Filing and Challan Payment
Prepare and upload the ECR, clear the error file, generate the TRRN challan and pay before the 15th of the following month. Invalid UANs, EPS wage ceiling mistakes, duplicate rows and contribution mismatches in the file, and paying even one day late from the 16th, attract 7Q interest and 14B damages.
Module 8: EDLI, EPS Pension, Higher Pension and Grievances
Handle death and EDLI claims through Form 5IF, track the EPS higher pension option status and the pending validation trail through employers, and escalate any stuck case through EPFiGMS. Higher pension and EDLI cases go wrong when employer wage uploads are pending or clarifications are unanswered, and when Aadhaar, KYC and UAN are not verified.
By The End

What You Will Be Able To Do

Clean Claim Submission

You file a Form 19, 10C or 31 that clears without a rejection remark, because you fixed every KYC and mismatch issue first.

Zero Penalty ECR Cycle

You close a monthly PF cycle with no error file and pay the challan before the 15th, so no 7Q interest or 14B damages accrue.

Faster Case Resolution

You read a rejection remark, correct the exact cause, and reapply or escalate through EPFiGMS instead of waiting blindly.

FAQ

Common Questions

My claim shows Under Process for weeks. What is happening?
Almost always a KYC or data mismatch. Open Track Claim Status, read the remark, and check that your name, date of birth and bank details match across Aadhaar, UAN and passbook, then fix the mismatch through Joint Declaration before reapplying.
Do I still need my old employer to approve a PF transfer?
For most cases after the 2025 change, no. If your name, date of birth and gender match across both accounts, the revised Form 13 lets the transfer move on the previous office's side alone. The course shows the exact cases that still need employer action.
We paid the PF challan two days late. What is the exposure?
Interest under Section 7Q and damages under Section 14B apply by delay slab, with no grace period. The module focuses on getting the ECR error free and paid before the 15th so it never arises.
Is e-nomination really compulsory now?
In practice yes. Without it the passbook view is blocked for many members and death claims get complicated, so the course treats e-nomination as a standing task, not an optional one.
